Emmerdale have teased the “newest bad boy” to step foot in the Dales as the Dingle family are warned to watch their backs upon his arrival.

Next month, Emmerdale welcomes a brand new character who is set to shake things up for the residents in the village. Viewers will be introduced to Dales’ newest bad boy, Kammy (Shebz Miah), in March, who makes a notable entrance by stealing a quad bike from Moira’s farm, leading to the finger being pointed at Ross.

In the midst of being pushed aside by boyfriend Jacob as he grieves his mother Leyla, Sarah unexpectedly meets Kammy who is struggling to start the stolen quad, and we wonder whose side she’ll be on when Ross approaches.

Sarah seems to fall under Kammy’s influence easily, and adopts those Dingle characteristics as she goes back to her roots, with her being Debbie Dingle’s daughter.

With Kammy’s arrival set to cause quite the stir in the village, it’s been teased that he’ll bring “an element of danger, romance, excitement and above all else, his inherent charm” during his time in the Dales.

As viewers can expect his journey into the village in the near future, will the Dingles accept Kammy with open arms, or do they need to watch their backs?

Speaking about his exciting new role, Shebz Miah, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.

“I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job – the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”

Katie Hill, who plays Sarah Sugden, added: “I can’t wait for the audience to meet Kammy – he’s a really fun character and a great addition to the village. We might even see him and Sarah get up to a bit of mischief together… It has been great having Shebz join the cast and he’s been brilliant to work with!”

Executive producer of the ITV soap, Laura Shaw, also commented: “We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to Emmerdale as cheeky charmer Kammy.

“Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village.”

Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
