Public Mobile added a couple of new plans over the weekend, including an unlimited $34/60GB offer.

The new $34/60GB plan includes 5G data (speeds capped at up to 250Mbps) and unlimited, Canada-wide talk and text.

Notably, the plan includes ‘unlimited’ data, meaning once you use up the 60GB of included data, you can keep using data at throttled speeds without incurring overage fees. Per fine print on Public’s website, the throttled data speed is up to 512Kbps.

The inclusion of unlimited data makes the $34/60GB plan alluring to heavy data users compared to Public’s other plans. That said, Public still offers the $34/60GB 5G and other Canada/U.S./Mexico plans, so those might be better options depending on what you need out of your wireless service.

Moreover, the unlimited plan isn’t marked as a limited-time offer, suggesting it will stick around for a while.

Along with the $34/60GB unlimited plan, Public replaced its $24/4GB 4G plan with a $22/3GB 4G option. Overall, this is not a huge change, but if you were looking for something slightly cheaper, this is it.

Beyond that, Public’s plans remain largely the same. It has the following options:

  • $35/60GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico
  • $29/10GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico
  • $45/80GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico
  • $55/100GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico
  • $26/20GB 4G (ends April 7)
  • $19/1GB 4G
